Cluster List

 

The Tag->Cluster List command in the Model module allows you to select a cluster by name from the Cluster List dialogue box. The selection becomes the active cluster and the points in the selected cluster are shown tagged. You can then either

If you want to animate clusters, you can use the Shape->Set Cluster command. For more information on clusters in animation, see the Creating and Editing Clusters section of the Animating User's Guide.

 

Procedure

  1. Select an object with clusters.
  2. Choose the Tag->Cluster List command.

    The Cluster List dialogue box is displayed.
  3. Select the desired cluster name from the Cluster List scroll box. The points within the selected cluster are tagged.
  4. Click Delete to delete the active cluster or click Animation: Delete to delete only its animation.
  5. Click Ok to accept the modifications or Cancel to exit the dialogue box without applying any modifications.

The Cluster List dialogue box is also accessible from the Info Selection dialogue box for curves, patch and NURBS surface objects, and polygon mesh objects which have clusters on them.

 

Updating the Points Assigned to the Cluster

  1. Select the object with the cluster.
  2. Select the cluster you wish to update:
  1. Tag or untag points as necessary to update the points included in the cluster.
  2. Choose Tag->Set Cluster.
  3. In the Set Cluster dialogue box, click Replace.

The cluster is updated, but the cluster name remains the same.
