DELETE

Selection

 

The Delete->Selection command is available in all modules except Tools. It deletes a selected object from the SOFTIMAGE 3D workspace (or a group of objects if these are selected using the Multi menu cell). A dialogue box is displayed so that you can confirm the operation.

This command can also be activated by using the Backspace Supra key. The currently active command is put on hold until the key is released.

Procedure

  1. Select the object(s).

    Note:
    You must be in TAG manipulation mode to delete tagged points. You must be in POL manipulation mode to delete selected polygons on a polygon mesh.
  2. Choose the Delete->Selection command.

    If you have just saved the scene, the selected element disappears; otherwise, a Warning dialogue box is displayed.
  3. Click Delete in the dialogue box to delete the selected elements, or Cancel to exit the dialogue box.
